Differences of Sex Development
Gene: DAAM2
Knerr (2023) identified monoallelic variants in two probands with androgen insensitivity syndrome, one missense and one NMD-predicted variant. The missense variant has 30 heterozygotes in gnomAD v4 whilst the NMD-predicted variant is absent.
DAAM2 expression in these unrelated individuals were significantly reduced compared to four control samples, plus additional functional studies.
