All three individuals died in infancy and the authors suggest there could be a dual diagnosis to explain the severity. This variant was expressed in a H4 neuroglioma cell line with COMMD4 knocked out, and showed an enhanced degradative turnover compared to WT when treated with cyclohexamide.
